Hepatitis C and Liver Transplant

Hepatitis C is a viral infection that affects the liver. In fact, Hepatitis C plays a role in about 40 percent of all liver transplants. In the United States alone, it’s thought that about four million people carry the disease.  And as we hear from Mayo Clinic Dr. Hugo Vargas, half of those people may not even know it.
