Macular degeneration is an eye disease for which there is no cure. Its victims may become legally blind, unable to read, recognize faces or drive a car. Until recently there hasn’t been anything anyone could do about this disease. Colin McCannel, M.D., a Mayo Clinic ophthalmologist, discusses a medication that’s been proven to delay the progression of macular degeneration and prolong sight for many people.

Is anyone familiar with the procedure used by Dr. Lundgren in Santa Fe, NM? I am considering taking my father for treatment. Any opinions?
